Please Give What You Can

If you can make regular donations it really helps us, as it allows us to make longer term plans. If all our supporters were able to give just £15 or £20 a month, it would make a huge difference.

Direct Debit — The easiest way to make regular donations is by setting up a direct debit. You can do this online by pressing this Donate button

If appropriate please tick the ‘I wish to Gift Aid it’ box so that your donation will be increased by 25% without costing you extra. Please note that the banks deduct a small processing fee for direct debits.

Standing Orders — If you prefer to make a regular donation by standing order, please complete a standing order form and, if appropriate, remember to tick the box for Gift Aid which increases the amounts that we can give without costing you extra. You can post or e-mail the form to us at the address printed at the bottom of the form.

Bank Transfer — You can make a donation directly by bank transfer. So that we know who you are, please send us an email telling us about your donation; and if possible please fill in a Gift Aid form or make a gift aid declaration (see below) by emailing bsst@bsst.org.uk, as this increases the amount that we can give without costing you extra. Our account details are:

Bank: HSBC
Account Name: BSST
Account No.: 11576585
Sort Code: 40-04-15

Supporters from outside the UK will also need our International Bank Account Number and SWIFT/BIC Code:

IBAN: GB59HBUK40041511576585
SWIFT/BIC Code: HBUKGB4141F

By Cheque — Please donate electronically if you can, as we can process these donations more efficiently. If you are only able to make payments by cheque, please email us at bsst@bsst.org.uk and we’ll let you know a postal address for your donation.

By Credit Card, Debit Card or PayPal — You can make online Credit/Debit card or PayPal donations by pressing this Donate button

If appropriate please tick the ‘I wish to Gift Aid it’ box so that your donation will be increased by 25% without costing you extra. Please note that the banks deduct a small processing fee for these donations, and that due to processing requirements, it may take up to six weeks for us to receive these them. Supporters from outside the UK should click on ‘Enter Address Manually’ in order to enter your address.

Through Charities Aid Foundation— If you have a CAF account press this Donate button to Donate online

If appropriate please tick the ‘I wish to Gift Aid it’ box so that your donation will be increased by 25% without costing you extra.

Donate while you shop — You can raise money for BSST without costing you a penny. If you sign up for EasyFundraising, every time you shop online the retailers will make a donation to BSST. It’s easy, it’s secure, and it won’t cost you anything. Click here for instructions.

Leave us a legacy in your Will — As well as helping a good cause, this may have financial benefits for your friends and family by reducing inheritance tax. If you are writing a new Will, ask your solicitor to include a bequest for BSST; if you have already made your Will and would like to amend it to include a legacy to BSST you can fill in this Codicil form and take it to your solicitor.

Donations to specific projects — If your donation is for a particular cause or for one of our partner organisations endorsed by BSST, please send an e-mail to bsst@bsst.org.uk when you donate so that we can ensure that we use your contribution in the way that you want.

Gift aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, BSST can claim back tax that you have paid. It costs you nothing, but BSST recovers 25 pence for every £1 you give. We can only claim Gift Aid if you provide your name and full address; if you are in the UK, you must include your full postcode.

When you make a donation, simply send an email to bsst@bsst.org.uk letting us know about your donation, and also say that:

I am a UK taxpayer, I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I want BSST to treat all donations that I have made in the past four years, and all future donations to be Gift Aided until I notify you otherwise. I understand that BSST will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

And remember to include your full name and full address.

Alternatively, you can complete a Gift Aid Declaration and email it to bsst@bsst.org.uk .

Please inform us if you want to cancel this declaration or if you change your name or address, or if you no longer pay sufficient tax on your income or your capital gains.
